Ever since I was a kid, I dreamed of becoming a professional athlete. Like many young athletes, I started with the mainstream sports—baseball, basketball, and football—before discovering tennis. From that moment on, tennis became my passion. It’s a sport that has everything: it’s physical, mental, and social. It teaches you how to win and how to lose, how to adapt, and how to fight back. There’s no hiding behind teammates—it’s just you out there, learning life’s lessons one point at a time.

Growing up in the Pacific Northwest, I quickly realized a common challenge: if you wanted to compete at a national level, you had to train outside the region—and that came with a high cost. Between academy tuition, travel, housing, and coaching, pursuing a dream in tennis wasn’t something every family could afford.

After my own path as a player led me into coaching and business ownership, one idea stuck with me: there had to be a better way to give kids a real shot at their dreams.

Fast-forward twenty years later, and that vision became The Dream Fund.

The Dream Fund was created to bridge the gap for youth who have the drive but not always the access—whether it’s financial support, coaching, equipment, facilities, or education. Through tennis and other “life sports” like golf and swimming, our mission is simple: to empower kids, remove barriers, and help them chase their dreams with confidence and purpose.
